When designing a home, every designer has to be careful in crafting these spaces, to make the users feel safe, comfortable and warm. As the name suggests, a major part of our design time went into decoding how to turn a vacant space into a home, on a budget.
The theme that we followed was contemporary. Every space is defined with its signature colour. The living room is warm and inviting through an extensive use of wood and a shade of maroon. The TV unit extends itself into the dining area by the use of collapsible dining table that save up a great deal of space. The large window is glorified by the use of a wooden swing.
The kitchen initially did not receive enough natural light. To tackle this problem, we shifted the bedroom door such that it provides some natural light to the once dimly lit space. The original position of the door now hosts a beautiful frame of God that is designed in its own frame.
The idea for the rooms were to make them feel inviting and comfortable along with a touch of creativity that sets them apart. Each room is designed with a purpose. The arches in the master bedroom in green stand out among the monotony of woods and whites. With every room making its mark on the user, this project taught us how even with a tight budget there is always enough room for creativity.
